Description
Toss the instant oatmeal packets aside and make a big batch of this easy maple nut baked oatmeal to eat throughout the week instead! The recipe is a Yummly original created by Sara Mellas.

- 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 3 cups whole milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 Tbsp. butter (melted)
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 1/4 cup maple syrup (plus more for serving)
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. maple extract
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 pinch salt
- 3 oz. pecans (or walnuts, 3 oz. is about 3/4 cup)

Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Spray a 9-inch square baking dish liberally with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
- Place the oats, milk, egg, melted butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, vanilla extract, maple extract, cinnamon, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Whisk to thoroughly combine.

needed to nearly double the cooking tome to cook thoroughly. lowered temp later as not to burn after adding time

AMAZING ! Made this for my family and they loved it! I used 1/2 pecans and 1/2 walnuts and it was so good.

It was very good. My family enjoyed it. I added raisins. I can see adding dried apricots or diced apples.. i added a splash more milk once I read that it was little dry. Mine was not dry so it must have helped!
