- 2 cans salmon ((6 oz. can) or one large can (14 3/4 oz. can), well drained)
- 3 Tbsp. almond flour (or almond meal)
- 3 Tbsp. shelled hemp seeds ((Could also use Flaxseed Meal, oat bran, or ground oatmeal, but the Hemp Hearts are delicious in this.))
- 3 Tbsp. green onions (chopped)
- 1 Tbsp. capers (drained well and finely chopped)
- 1 tsp. all purpose seasoning (Szeged Fish Rub (or use any all-purpose seasoning that’s good on fish))
- salt (to taste)
- freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil (or more, depending on your pan)
- tartar sauce (double-dill, or tzatziki sauce, for serving)

Great. I seasoned them with Old Bay. Everything else as the recipe called for.

These were a huge hit! The two folks that ate these were impressed. One had these growing up numerous times, and he said these were the ‘Best Salmon Patties I’ve ever eaten’ the other said they were delightful and such a treat!!!
Now this was my first time making these, and I was not prepared for what canned salmon had in store for me, i.e. the bones and skin on the fish... so that was a shock I assumed it was like tuna without bones and skin, but my fella removed the bones and skin ( I learned that most folks eat them with the bones-I was not having that) I choose to remove these things and they still turned out fabulous! Worth the work for the rave reviews.
