- 3/4 tsp. red pepper flakes (to taste, I used ¼ teaspoon)
- 1/4 cup white wine (see shopping tip)
- 1 1/2 cups cherry tomatoes (sliced in half)
- 3/4 tsp. salt (or to taste)
- 1/2 cup fresh basil (thinly sliced)
- 2 cups penne pasta (cooked whole grain, 1½ cups dry, about 4 ounces)
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (shredded for topping)
