- 2 green onions (sliced with a handful of the green parts reserved for garnish, optional)

- 1 tsp. ginger paste

- 1/4 cup mirin
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. cornstarch (dissolved in 1 teaspoon water, optional)
