I had been looking for this for years, but didn't even know what to call it. What a treat! Thank you so much. The only time I had it before was in the fourth grade at a distant relative's funeral and I couldn't tell anyone what the ingredients were. The only thing I was sure of was it had cottage cheese.

Probably because I grew up eating it a different way since my grandmom used to make this with 1 sm pkg lemon and 1 sm pkg lime jellos and 1 cup Miracle Whip instead of whipped cream/cool whip. We missed the cold, tangy, creamy taste that MW gives this particular salad so this was a bit of a disappoinment but Not at all the fault of the recipe author I am certain it's just like i said something we grew up with. I have had it with Hellman's or Mayo also and it was really good but the MW just sets it apart!! Highly recommend people give it a try as an alternarive to whipping cream! You wont be disappointed!!

I made it with a Thanksgiving twist and it came out delicious! I used sugar free raspberry gelatin with the cottage cheese and a can of whole cranberry sauce with a can of crushed pineapple before I folded in the whipped cream. Cool and delicious!
