- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 2 sprigs thyme
- 1 tsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 1 sweet onion (medium-sized, chopped finely)
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes (less if you don’t like it spicy)
- 16 oz. tomato paste
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 3 tsp. liquid smoke
- 2 Tbsp. vegan Worcestershire sauce
- 1/3 cup tamari
- 1 cup water
- 3 cups celery root (peeled, cubed, and boiled)
- 1/2 cup vegan sour cream
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh rosemary
- 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh chives
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 3/4 cup coconut milk (or almond milk)
