I had made some pasta sauce with fresh tomatoes and wasn't sure what to do. I love pasta but since I don't eat meat, it's always such a wasted meal bc it never fills me up! All my pasta meals are just carb carb carb. In the past I've had luck with a lentil sloppy joe so when I saw this recipe I was like OH YISSSSSSSS NOW WE'RE COOKIN. It was delicious! I'm gonna check out this person's blog cos I've never heard of them before now so hopefully they have more stuff like this!!

Delicious. Replaced tomato sauce with a bit more tomato paste instead. Also mostly cooked the lentils before adding to the tomato base then added less water too. This was partially due to not reading the instructions first but it was so so good anyway. Served on top of buckwheat pasta.

It was delicious! I added some milk because bolognese sauce normally has milk in it to give sort of a cheesy flavour. Will definitely make this again!

I really enjoyed this but did find this very strong on the tomatoes. I added a small amount of red wine and used vegetable stock instead of water to add more flavour.

Didn't taste good. All i tasted were the tomatoes, not seasoned well followed recipe exactly. Will not make again was missing flavor.

I've made this many, many times with rotini pasta. And it sure is delish dunkin garlic bread in it too!

This is a simple sauce that complements either spaghetti or penne pasta. I've made lentil bolognese for years, but this recipe encouraged the inclusion of more vegetables, so this was a bonus. If you're serving it with pasta, then it will serve more than 4 people, but it freezes very well.

Very good with a nice, dense sauce. I'll be adding some crushed red pepper for a little zing the next time I make it. This would be great to use for a baked pasta too.
