- Classic Crisco Pie Crust (Single crust)
- 1Â cup sugar
- 1/3Â cup cornstarch
- 1/8Â tsp. salt
- 1 1/2Â cups cold water
- 1Â large egg yolk (lightly beaten)
- 1/3Â cup lemon juice
- 1Â tsp. grated lemon peel
- meringue
- 3Â large egg whites
- 1/8Â tsp. salt
- 1/4Â cup sugar
- 1/2Â tsp. vanilla extract

Directions
- HEAT oven to 425ºF. Prepare single pie crust according to recipe directions, using a 9-inch pie plate. Cool.
- REDUCE oven temperature to 350°F.
- COMBINE sugar, cornstarch and salt in medium saucepan. Gradually stir in water until mixture is well blended. Cook and stir over medium-high heat until mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Cook and stir 3 minutes. Remove from heat.

Delicious 😋
I recommend half the salt that it calls for, for the meringue, but other than that, fantastic! Everybody loved it!
It was super easy to double the recipe as well.
If you’re going to make one pie, might as well make two 😊
