- 3/4 cup butter (at room temperature**)
- 2 oz. cream cheese (I use the low fat, not no-fat at room temperature)
- 1 lb. powdered sugar (bag or box, more as needed)
- 1 meyer lemon (fresh)
- 1 meyer lemon (fresh, about 1½-2 tablespoons)
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- milk (or half and half if needed)
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. table salt
- 16 Tbsp. unsalted butter (2 sticks, room temperature)
- 1 cup buttermilk (room temperature)
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 4 large egg yolks (room temperature)
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract (or vanilla bean paste)
- 1/4 cup Cake (a 2-layer, your favorite strawberry jam, I used my Strawberry Freezer Jam.)
