This is my first time making a pound cake and I was indeed impressed. Since it was lemon flavored, it reminded me greatly of the lemon bundt cakes available at a store(but better!) I orginally made it to put use to excess buttermilk but I think I'll buy some more in the future just to make this recipe. My sweetooth self doubled the recipe for the glaze which I found it goes well with vanilla bean icecream-- excellent recipe!

This is a delicious pound cake. I’ve made it several times and it’s always a hit. I froze one loaf for a later and ended up making the lemon trifle cake in individual dessert dishes.
