Mine turned out horrible. Couldn’t even eat them. I think the directions need to be more clear on how much we should put in when it comes to flour and sugar. Will find a different recipe next time.

The suggesting cooking time before pouring on the lemon mixture was inaccurate. It was too short and The mixture soaked through the uncooked dough and completely messed up the lemon bars.

Really tasty but the best part was trying something I have never made before! Loved zesting a lemon that was a first.

Turns out perfect every time. Even better with 20-30% less sugar in both layers. Made it a couple of times, will make again :)

I used a 8x8 pan so I used half measure of the ingredients in this recipe. They turned out amazing! Great balance between sweet and tart.

Found this app before and am impressed by the way you have made it so simple to put together. Thanks so much for this recipe.

They’re delicious! I used bottled lemon juice, and since I’d read that they might come out too sweet, I only used 2 cups of sugar for the filling (I like my lemon bars tart). I baked for 45 minutes which made the top of the filling a little too solid for me, so I’ll probably only do 40 minutes next time.

Had no vanilla extract so I went without - they still turned out lovely. Definitely gonna try again with vanilla extract.

good and lemony, but almost a kilogram of sugar? if i did it again i would use a larger tray so that the whole cake is a tad thinner, and reduce cooking time by a couple of mins

Absolutely amazing! I usually hate lemon bars, but this recipe is perfect! You can really taste the lemon, but it's not too overpowering.

The lemon bars turned out great, it didn't last that long after it came out of the oven though. I will definitely be making it again but I'll double it next time.

Amazing, used two lemons instead of three and the flavor was great. Only cooked it for 32 minutes and it came out perfect and not burned. Using two lemons helps the lemon not overpower the dish.

not bad. I had to make it gluten free so i used a gluten free cake mix.

Edges were a bit overcooked but other than that they were great.

I work for Yummly, but I wanted to make this recipe for my family because we have a lemon tree with some fresh lemons that needed to be put to use. This recipe was really delicious and is such a refreshing treat! I cooked mine for 35 minutes when the toothpick came out completely clean, but the sides were a bit on the brown side (it didn’t taste burnt though). I would recommend pulling the lemon bars out of the oven at 30 minutes when the toothpick inserted in the middle is almost clean to avoid the browning on the edges. The lemon flavor in this recipe is strong , but they’re lemon bars so I expected them to taste really lemony. We personally really enjoyed them and can’t wait to make them again! 😋 would recommend!

It was a little burnt on the sides and I used 32 minutes, but the center wasn’t super clean on the pick. Great flavor

Wow! These bars are fabulous - lemony tangy sweet, a great buttery crust, and no heavy eggy taste (which has turned me off of other homemade lemon bars). This is a great recipe!!
