- 1 pinch chilli flakes
- salt (to taste)
- pepper (to taste)
- 2 lb. pork shoulder (| 900 g)
- 14 oz. crushed pineapple (| 400 g can of, in natural juice)
- 2 onions (peeled and roughly chopped)
- 3 garlic cloves (crushed)
- 1 bell pepper (any colour, roughly chopped)
- 2 red chillies (deseeded and roughly chopped)
- 80 mL low sodium soy sauce (/ 1/3 cup ,or teriyaki sauce)
- 3 Tbsp. ketchup
- 3 Tbsp. honey
- 2 Tbsp. dark brown sugar
- 2 tsp. vegetable oil
- 2 tsp. cider vinegar
- 2 tsp. Dijon mustard
- 1/2 lemon (Juice of)
- 1 tsp. Tabasco
- salt
- freshly ground pepper
- 2 tsp. cornflour (cornstarch ,diluted in a little cold water)
