- 2 1/2 cups flour (I use a blend of white and whole wheat)
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. lavender (dried ground)
- 1 cup sour cream (I use fat free)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (at room temperature, 1 stick)
- 3 large eggs
- 2 Tbsp. powdered sugar
- 4 cups water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 Tbsp. dried lavender blossoms (kalustyans.com)
- 4 1/2 cups sparkling water (chilled)
