  • 4 garlic cloves (smashed)
  • 2 dill (stalks with “umbrellas”)
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 3 slices horseradish (root) (peeled)
  • 3 black currant (sour cherry, grape or cabbage leaves)
  • 5 peppercorns
  • 1 tablespoon salt (for 1 liter of cold filtered water)
