  • 500 grams lamb (or mutton pieces ideally with bone, can have boneless or combination of both)
  • 1/3 cup ghee (can use oil instead)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons ginger garlic paste
  • 1 cup onion (1 large, finely sliced)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cumin powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons coriander powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chilli powder (Kashmiri red, careful not to confuse with normal red chilli powder!)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 1/2 cups tomatoes (2 medium, finely diced)
  • 1 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 4 tablespoons greek yogurt
  • 3 large potatoes (peeled and cut into large chunks and soaked in a bowl of water)
  • 3 green chillies (depending on preferred spice level, slit in the centre)
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 2 tablespoons coriander leaves (finely chopped)
