It was absolutely fabulous! We made it for Easter as we wanted a light tasty dessert. This was a huge hit. I used the Honey & Oat granola bars and put them into the food processor for a fine crumble We used key limes and they were difficult to zest and we made a box Angel food cake. The second time we made a half batch as we only had a dinner party of four. This time we used regular limes and we used a store made angel food cake. Much faster! Our heavy cream whipped and peaked nicely to mix with the lime juice mixture. I used an extra creamy cool whip for the zest topping. Our trifle turned out beautiful. We made our filling and topping the day before and put it together the day of our party.

Well....it was going well until the cool whipped topping ran all over the place off the top!! How does cool whip stay stiff?? So disappointed as it was going to a party. 😢
