Not bad, easy to make but I found it rather bland. Would add more seasoning next time. I cooker the turkey sausage first and got it really brown. Made exactly as directed. Family ate it but didn’t rave about it

Quite good, although not really a stew, turned out as more of a soup. Used farro instead of barley which was tasty.

I’ve made this hearty stew several times. It’s a hit with my family and straightforward to prepare. Love it!

This was delish! I had Italian chicken sausage in the fridge (the pre-cooked, packaged variety) so I used that in place of what the recipe calls for. Also used my electric pressure cooker so no need to pre-cook the barley.

Good recipe with great flavor . Was looking for other uses for the kale I grow other than chips and smoothies

The barley totally makes it. The only change i made was: i cut and fried the sausage in pieces in the same pot, then added the onions and garlic to the fried sausage, then added all the rest of the ingredients to it *and I did not drain-off after frying, in order to retain more overall flavor. It's just trace amounts of fat, if using turkey, so totally worth the trade-off. If it was pork sausage, MAYBE...

Really delicious and simple to make. I used only 4 cups of chicken stock as I wanted this to be more like a stew and not a soup. I also used fire-roasted diced tomatoes which added nice flavor (and the dish still was not spicy).

Flavors melded nicely and a lot nutrients. It isn't as good as some other meals, but the ease makes it a 5.
