- 12 oz. yukon gold potatoes (baby, scrubbed, cut into ½” pieces)
- 1/2 bunch black kale (ribs and stems removed, leaves torn into 1” pieces)

The soup was easy to make, but it was missing something. Next time I will not drain the tomatoes and I will use chicken broth instead of water. The canned beans were inconsistent- some were crunchy, some were fine. I will cut that down to one can next time. We were not sure if we would like the pistou, but I made it anyway- that definitely added flavor!
