  • 400 grams broccoli (cut into even-sized florets)
  • 400 grams cauliflower (cut into even-sized florets)
  • 4 garlic cloves (skin on)
  • 2/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 5 1/2 teaspoons baharat (Middle Eastern spice mix from spice stores and grocers)
  • 1 liter vegetable stock
  • 2 3/4 cups lentils (green Puy-style)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 lemons
  • 1 cup flat leaf parsley leaves (chopped)
  • 1 cup mint leaves (chopped)
  • 3/4 cup walnuts (toasted)
  • 250 grams haloumi (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons runny honey

    Did not use mint as I am not a big fan of it in savory foods, but turned out great anyway! Easy & made plenty!
