- 2 lb. beef stew meat (cut into cubes)
- 4 carrots (long, cut into 1 inch)
- 8 red potatoes (peel on cut into chunks)
- 1 white onion (cut into chunks)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced or like I do with a grater)
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1 btl. Yuengling Beer
- 1 cup cold water
- salt
- pepper
- 3/4 cup corn meal
- 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1/4 cup cheddar cheese (I used extra sharp)
- 3 slices bacon (cut up, could use more or less to your liking)
