  • 1 loaf Irish soda bread (see recipe at least day old bread, hand torn or cut into cubes)
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 1/3 cup golden raisins
  • 3 cups half & half (or whole milk - we typically use 2 cups half & half to 1 cup whole milk)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup butter (1 stick, melted and cooled)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (freshly grated is best, add more on top of the assembled bread pudding if desired)
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Bailey's Irish Cream (to taste, 1 Tbsp will only have a hint of Bailey's flavor)
