- 1 cup bell peppers (diced, I used green and red)

- 1 tsp. dried basil
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 14.5 oz. diced tomatoes
- 6 oz. tomato paste
- 2 1/2 cups pasta (uncooked)

Turned out great. Best way to describe it is an italian goulash. Only used red bell pepper because that's what I had on hand. Added cruched red pepper flakes to the mild sausage. Used penne pasta instead since I had it but it didn't hold up so well. Certainty need a pasta that is heartier. Will make again.

Made this last night and the family loved it. My mom didnt think she would like it but she loved it. i added a little complete seasoning for extra flavor.
