The method is spot on but the flavor is lacking. I used chicken broth instead of water and oregano for the thyme. Otherwise I followed the recipe to a T. It has potential for sure. I will try again and increase the seasonings.

The red beans and rice turned out so good. I'm ashamed of how many bowls I ate. It's a keeper.
