- 3 cups low sodium chicken broth
- 1 1/2 lb. gold potatoes (diced)
- 2 cups ham (diced, great way to use leftover)
- 1 1/2 cups half and half (or heavy cream, or whole milk)
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese (grated)
- 1/2 cup sour cream

Great recipe.. prep time literally takes longer than cooking! Tastes great with biscuits (red lobster style) and is a great comfort dish.

Easy to make and wonderful to eat! Agree that it doesn't need the cheese and cream, but it did make it even more of a comfort food.

Didn’t bother adding milk, sour cream or cheese. It was delicious! Used parsnips too. Mmmmm!

Flavor is so good. I used the sour cream but not sure it needs it. I’d suggest tasting before adding it. But the spices used give it so much good flavor along with the sharp cheddar. I also topped with cracked pepper for just a little kick. Will definitely be making this one again.
