Oh my gosh ... never waste another ham bone! Comes together in under 15 minutes. Cooks quickly — even with dried bean NOT soaked — for a great bean soup that’s super easy and delicious. MMMMMMMMMMMM... so good.

Tasty soup, will make it again just because it’s simple. I put small pieces of ham in the recipe, instead of a ham bone.

It was very tasty. I deviated from the recipe a bit, using a 16 bean blend instead of navy beans. And I used up the ham bone from the Easter ham instead of a ham hock. I also used water instead of stock, but added 4 t. Ham Base for flavoring. Since I did that I omitted the added salt. Really good served over day old baguette torn into chunks in the bowls.

Fulfilled my craving perfectly! I added a bit of diced ham, but it wasn’t necessary. I’ll stick to the recipe next time.
