- 1/3 cup dry sherry (or dry white wine, such as pinot grigio)

- 2 1/2 mussels (dozen, scrubbed and debearded, if necessary)
- 1 lb. calamari (fresh or frozen thawed, cleaned and cut into ½-inch rings)
