- 4 oz. white onion (/ 115g, chopped finely)
- 1 Tbsp. ketjap manis (Indonesian soy sauce)
- 2 tsp. fish sauce
- 1/4 tsp. turmeric
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 1 tsp. coriander powder
- 1 Tbsp. palm sugar (or 1 tbsp packed dark brown/light brown sugar)
- 1/2 cup gluten-free breadcrumbs (you can use regular breadcrumbs too)
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 10 oz. yellow onion (finely chopped, about 2 onions)
- 2 Tbsp. sambal oelek
- 1 Tbsp. chili flakes (/crushed red pepper)
- 1/4 tsp. minced ginger
- 1 Tbsp. palm sugar (or 1 tbsp packed dark brown/light brown sugar)
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. ketjap manis
- 1/2 tsp. fish sauce
- water (to thin out)
