  • 1 apple (chopped, I leave the skin on for extra fibre but you can remove it if you wish)
  • 1 cucumber (chopped and frozen)
  • 1 handful fresh mint leaves
  • 1 handful silverbeet (washed and chopped, or you could use any other dark green leafy veg such as spinach)
  • 1/2 lemon (small, I leave the skin on as I buy spray-free lemons and there is extra nutrition in the skin but you can just use the flesh if you like)
  • 2 teaspoons fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon fresh turmeric (or 1/2 tsp ground turmeric)
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 handful ice cubes
