- 1 Tbsp. tamari
- 2 tsp. apple cider vinegar
- 2 tsp. maple syrup (to taste)
- 1 yellow onion (or small white, thinly sliced)
- 8 oz. Brussels sprouts (shredded, about 3 heaping cups*)
- 3 cups water
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 cup corn grits (white, or medium grind cornmeal)
- 1 Tbsp. vegan buttery spread (or olive oil)
- 2 Tbsp. nutritional yeast
- black pepper (to taste)
