  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 cayenne pepper (small, we grew last year and dried, my family doesn’t like foods too spicy…season to taste, crushed)
  • 2 teaspoons italian seasoning (had on hand. Original recipe called for 1 ½ tsp oregano and 1 tsp marjoram)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch (this thickens the juice and helps it cling to the other ingredients…beans, lentils, or meat)
  • 1 tablespoon granulated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 2 tablespoons salt (you can reduce this is you want a lower sodium product)
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

    I enjoy it for regular taco seasoning and seasoning the meat for chili. I do think using oregano and marjoram comes out better than using italian seasoning.
