  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (use the good stuff - no jarred or canned varieties)
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (grated or very finely minced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon zest (optional but recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning (blend)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 1 pinch kosher salt
  • 1 loaf artisan bread (my personal favorites are sesame seed or any other bread with a tight crumb to hold the butter)
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)

    Not just your regular garlic bread. It is absolutely garlicky heaven. The parmesan, lemon zest, olive oil and the rest of the ingredients truly add to the goodness of this bread.
