  • 1 1/2 tablespoons paprika (just because that is the flavor profile we enjoy but can also use smoked, hot, Spanish or whatever kind of, you enjoy Each type of paprika makes your recipe taste very different.)

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar (we used, but apple cider vinegar would be lovely too.)
  • 12 stems mushroom caps
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • white wine (– just a spritz or about 2 tablespoons of whatever you happen to be drinking.)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 onion
  • red bell pepper (– chopped finely, or can use yellow, orange or green bell pepper)
  • 3 cloves (minced)
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 2 tablespoons parsley (optional)
