    It turned out so delicious - so much better than store bought. It took me about an hour of simmering time to get it to applesauce consistency but not much stirring was necessary.

    Just fine. Cooked with a couple of cinnamon sticks, dark maple syrup and used small amount of pumpkin pie spice in place listed spices. Five large gala apples plus a Granny Smith. No mashing ..left in small to medium chunks.

    Turned out wonderful! I did add a pinch of salt and a smidgen of vanilla to enhance the maple syrup and apple flavors.

    I just made this...Delicious!! I made it chunky as well. It hit the spot on this cool day! The kids and dad said the recipe is a keeper! The only change I will make is to double the recipe next time. Definitely will share with friends and family!
