    This recipe is a good base. Lime juice is the key. I also doubled garlic, onions, walnuts, tomato paste, jalapeño and cumin. I added a spoon full of organic maple syrup, added teaspoon of chipotle Chile pepper, 1 lime juice, green pepper, sub vegetable stock for water and a dash of salt. It was amazing!

    You should use chicken broth it works WAY better!! And add more garlic/ seasoning if you want more flavor, I added more beans also.

    I cut this recipe in half and added half a red bell pepper and 1/2 tsp of chili powder. Also used broth instead of water. I love the walnuts in it! But it did need more salt/pepper & crushed red at the end.

    Delicious! I added 1 extra can of beans and didn’t have a jalepeno on hand so i added just a bit of ancho chile spice. Will make again!

    This recipe is the bomb diggity, I used a bag of Gardein beefless crumbles instead of the walnuts and it turned out amazing. But the secret ingredient to make the best chili is Adobo!!

    I added finely diced sweet peppers, 1/3 cup chili powder, can of corn and olives. I added a lot more soy sauce and a tbs of honey. The original recipe did not taste like chili, which I assumed had to have chili powder. Otherwise, it’s a good base recipe but I had to tweak it quite a bit to interest me.

    I used boca beef crumbles instead of walnuts just to get an extra serving of protein and it’s what I had. Tasted great!
