So, first I used vanilla flavored organic plant based protein powder in place of soy powder & peanut butter in place of almond butter. I added an extra approx 30mg of protein powder therefore I added an extra 1tbsp of water, 1tbsp of honey & 1tsp of sesame oil to get the right amount of moisture. Then I baked it in an 8x11.5 glass dish instead of the 8x12 as used in the recipe cause that’s what I had. The dough still measured out to be approximately 1/2-3/4 thick as suggested in recipe. Not sure if it’s b/c I have a gas stove or not but it cooked approximately 25min till it was golden brown all over top so only a bit longer than original recipe however I think it’s b/c my pan was just a tad bigger. Since it’s 10pm I can’t yet tell you the deliciousness of them yet but will def be back to give the correct star rating after our hike tomorrow as my hubby is dying to let you all know his opinion of my/our first attempt to make our protein bars for hiking!! Much love!
