- 1 cup applesauce (unsweetened)
- 1/2 cup raw honey (or maple syrup)
- 2 Tbsp. unsulphured molasses
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil (extra virgin)
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups oat bran
- 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup flax seed (ground)
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 tsp. baking powder (aluminum free)
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup raisins (or chopped dates, not packed)
- 1/3 cup nuts (coarsely chopped, walnuts, I used cheaper pieces rather than whole, pecans, hazelnuts)
- cooking spray (I use Misto)

loved it. my finicky 10 month old granddaughter will eat half a muffin every day. it is moist and easily digested. I do not use nuts but the dates go over splendidly.
