- 1 cup noodles (good, uncooked macaroni, such as Barilla, plus 1 tsp. salt for cooking water)
- 4 cups coleslaw mix (packed fine shred, also called "angel shred", or shred your own)
- 1/4 cup red onion (finely chopped)
- 1 celery rib (finely sliced or chopped)
- 8 oz. ham steak (boneless fully cooked, ½" dice)
- 4 oz. swiss cheese (cubed ½" x ¼")
- dressing
- 1 cup mayo (heavy, such as Hellmann's or Duke's)
- 1/2 cup Miracle Whip Salad Dressings
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. sweet pickle juice (preferably my homemade but from a purchased jar ok)
- 1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. ranch salad dressing mix
- 1 1/2 tsp. spicy brown mustard (good, such as Gulden's)
- 1 tsp. poppy seeds
- 1/2 tsp. celery seeds
- 1/16 tsp. celery salt
- 1/16 tsp. coarse ground black pepper
