- 1 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 bay leaf
- 8 cups chicken stock (preferably low sodium)
- 15 oz. chick peas (canned, with their liquid)
- 1/2 head lettuce (escarole, chopped, about 4 cups)
- 1/2 cup pastina (or other mini pasta)
