- 6 oz. cake flour (1 1/2 cups)
- 2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 floz egg whites (about 3 large whites)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 oz. unsalted butter (at room temperature)
- gel food coloring (I used Americolor Super Red)
- 6 floz liquid egg whites (pasteurized, 3/4 cup, see Note below)
- 24 oz. powdered sugar (6 cups)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 24 oz. unsalted butter (at room temperature, 6 sticks)
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla extract
- gel food coloring (Leaf Green, Avocado, Lemon Yellow, Ivory, Super Red, and Super Black)
