Description
I can't believe I have been using this recipe for 20 years. It is from a cookbook I bought when on vacation in New England. This is by far my favorite salmon recipe. Simple and so yummy! The cookbook is called Mystic Seaport's Seafood Secrets. Here is the recipe with a few slight modifications.
Ingredients

4 SERVINGS
- 2 lb. salmon fillets (or steaks)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tsp. ginger (freshly grated or 1/4-1/2 teaspoon ground)
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. white pepper
- 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil (olive/canola)

Directions
- Combine all of the marinade ingredients in a mixing bowl, whisking in the oil last.
- Place salmon in shallow dish or plastic bag. Pour marinade on top. Marinate for 30-45 minutes in fridge.
- If grilling, brush hot grill with oil to prevent from sticking. Place salmon on grill flesh side down first. Grill 4-6 minutes each side.
- If broiling, broil about 5 minutes each side.
- Sometimes I cook some unused marinade on the stove, thicken with corn starch and use as a dip or sauce for the salmon and sides such as quinoa and veggies. Enjoy!
