- 3 cloves garlic (– minced)
- 1 medium white onion (– chopped, about 1 cup)
- 4 Tbsp. all-purpose flour (–, or use gluten-free flour blend or chickpea flour)
- 3 cups unsweetened almond milk
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 2 tsp. turmeric
- 8 oz. mild green chiles (–, use only 1 can for less spicy, or additional can for extra spicy)
- 2 jalapeños (medium, – seeded and chopped)
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper
