- 1 garlic clove (small, pressed)
- 1 Tbsp. fresh mint leaves (finely chopped, or dill, but if you use dried mint or dried dill, reduce the amount to 1/2 teaspoon.)
- 6 pita breads
- 1/2 onion (medium, chopped coarse, about 3/4 cup)
- 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. table salt
- 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. fresh oregano leaves (minced, or 1 teaspoon of dried oregano)
- 3 garlic cloves (medium, minced or pressed through a garlic press, about 3 teaspoons)
- 1 lb. ground chuck (80% lean)
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 large tomato (sliced thin)
- 2 cups iceberg lettuce (shredded)
- 2 oz. crumbled feta cheese (about 1/2 cup)
