This recipe worked out great! I finally was able to make a tasty gravy and it was the right consistency. I was a bit short on fat from the drippings so added unsalted butter to the drippings and from there followed directions precisely. Thank you for sharing!

Wow! I finally now how to make gravy! My mom was the one who usually made gravy for Thanksgiving, and it’s been 7 yrs since she passed away, and my sister and I had to rely on a neighbor of hers to make it. Now I can do it myself! I made it yesterday and today, to go with the shrimp egg foo young recipe I found on Yummly. I made the meal as a Mother’s Day surprise for my Godmother. I haven’t spoken to her yet, to see whether she liked it. But I had it today with the leftover egg foo young I made, and it was Delicious! Thank you for the easiest recipe ever!

This one is easy. I added giblets and heated over 2 Tbs of butter until brown for a bit and then cut up 1/2 cup of carrots and 1/3 onion and 2 cups of water for 3 hours on low. I strained the water mixture and added it to this recipe - you can mince the giblets and all that but not my thing. I just strain them out and continue with this recipe. Very good gravy!
