Excellent. I’ve made a lot of different banana bread recipes as I’d love to try out versions that are healthier, more moist, traditional, etc. etc. etc.
This one has an average amount of calories including the Walnuts-which I did roast before I chopped and added. It’s also very traditional in that it reminded me a lot of my grandma’s banana nut bread and it’s extremely moist. I did have to alter the recipe slightly because it ended up that I only had 2 1/2 cups of mashed banana instead of the 3 cups that it called for. I decided to add 1/2 cup of fresh orange juice to replace the half cup of missing banana.. Can’t really taste orange flavor yet you can tell there’s something just a little different-The only improvement I can imagine is perhaps next time I will try adding a little bit of orange zest perhaps a teaspoon. This made to generous loves. My husband does not like nuts in recipes so I made one loaf not free but added mini dark chocolate chips and the other loaf I added the walnuts as I mentioned. I would definitely recommend this recipe with or without the tweaks I made. I believe that the addition of butter instead of oil makes it so much more flavorful!!!!
Thank you so much for this recipe!!!!!

I added chocolate chips as well as nuts. It was delicious! I will be making this recipe again.

Tasty and moist. Made 1 standard loaf pan with walnuts and 2 mini loaves as gifts, one with butterscotch chips and another topped with cinnamon sugar.
Had to add nearly 20 minutes to cook time in my electric oven as toothpicks weren’t coming clean in the center. Didn’t measure out the banana, so extra mash may have been the reason.

It was good. My daughter loved it though I thought it was a bit too sweet because I didn't have enough brown sugar ... so I put white sugar instead. Next time I will put less sugar.

I made one loaf with 4 bananas. And I made it gluten free with Bob's Red Mill gluten free flour. so delicious.

Excellent! I had a lot of bananas to use, this recipe takes 7, so it is perfect, makes a nice big loaf!

This is my gold standard for banana bread! I add macadamia nuts and coconut instead of walnuts sometimes for a tropical flavor!

Good but too moist in the center, maybe less baking soda could fix that problem. It was delicious, for breakfast or dessert.
