Making this recipe for years and it comes out perfect every time. I change nothing, make it exactly to the recipe specifications. It’s moist, not too sweet, not too crumbly and it goes well with chilli or just on its own with butter and honey.

I use this recipe whenever i make cornbread and my family and or company rave over this cornbread, often wanting the recipe. its easy to use, always comes out perfectly, and tastes great.

Turned out terrible. The tops were too brown. The texture is dry and crumbly. I don't know what happened I followed the recipe exactly and temperature exactly.. I thought the batter looked too watery and that maybe the oven temp should've been lower but I went against my better judgment. BIG mistake! Taste wise it's ok but it's a dry crumbly almost burnt mess.

Great cornbread. A little salty for my taste. Next time less salt. Had a very nice texture and had black eye pea's. Great with a ham dinner, mixture of winter vegetables roasted and scalloped potatoes. yummy
