- 1/2 cup besan (Gram Flour /)
- 1/2 tsp. chilli powder (Kashmiri Red, you can use more according to your taste)
- 1/2 tsp. cumin seeds (or 1 tsp Kalonji / Nigella seeds – I used cumin seeds)
- 1 Tbsp. rice flour
- 3 curry leaves (chopped, preferably dry)
- 1 pinch baking soda (optional)
- salt (to taste)
- water (as required to make a thick batter)
- oil (10. Sufficient, for deep frying, I used Sunflower)
