- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 vanilla bean (scraped)
- 1/2 cup butter (cold, cut into chunks)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sour cream (or plain yogurt)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 egg white (for brushing)
- 1 Tbsp. sugar (course, for sprinkling on top, optional)
- 1 vanilla bean (scraped)
- 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1 Tbsp. milk (or cream)
