- 1 cup long grain brown rice (uncooked)
- 1 cup millet (whole uncooked)
- 1 3/4 cups water
- 2 tsp. honey (agave, or maple syrup)
- 2 tsp. apple cider vinegar
- 1/3 cup flaxseed (ground golden)
- 3 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 1/2 tsp. sea salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder (aluminum-free)
- 2 Tbsp. sesame seeds (to the soaking grains, boosts calcium content)
- sesame seeds (Sprinkle baking surface with, or cornmeal before adding batter)
- 1/2 cup buckwheat (raw hulled, in place of the millet and increase the brown rice to 1 1/2 to 1 2/3 cups for a more tender texture)
- sweetener (can be left out of the recipe, if desired)
