  • 1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg (freshly)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon anise seed (lightly crushed, optional, but recommended)
  • 1 tablespoon molasses
  • 1 orange (grated)
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa (optional . . . replace with confectioners’ sugar)
  • 1/4 cup plum brandy (or apple or other fruit brandy, or rum)
