- red chili flakes (or whole dried red chilies to taste)
- 3 Tbsp. ginger (/garlic paste or equal portions of each ginger and garlic grated)
- toasted sesame seeds (Optional Garnish:)
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 3 Tbsp. honey
- 1 Tbsp. rice wine vinegar
- 1/2 cup chicken broth (or water/bullion equivalent)
- 1/4 cup chinese rice wine (Shao Hsing, or substitute dry sherry)
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
